Sewing Sundays

Let's sew together! This is an informal group sewing class where you will bring in the project you want to work on.

You can hem your pants, sew a shirt, mend your clothes, make a pillow, craft a costume, or whatever you like!

Shannon Marshall, your sewing teacher and owner of Sonoma County Sewing Company, will provide instruction and support.

Each class meeting will include a group Q & A session and Shannon will demonstrate sewing techniques.

Pressing tools, sewing machines, machine needles, and machine operation instruction will be provided.

You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, in good working order.

Important: The minimum class size is 4 people. Maximum is 10. If the minimum attendance is not met, 7 days before the class, you will be notified and can reschedule or get a refund.

Recommended for ages 16 and up.

Fabric for your project

Any items the project calls for (interfacing, zipper, buttons, elastic, etc.)

Pattern (if you have one)

Sewing thread

Scissors

Pins

Marking tool (chalk, pen, pencil, etc)

Seam gauge or small ruler

Fabric tape measure (not metal)

Hello, I'm your sewing teacher, Shannon Marshall, owner of Sonoma County Sewing Company.

I have been a professional seamstress since 1998, a sewing teacher since 2005, and a local business owner since 2017.

Over the years I have worked with many local designers and small businesses, sewing their prototypes, samples, and custom orders.

When I worked for a sewing machine store in Santa Rosa, I taught private lessons, group classes, and large workshops.

We are going to have so much fun sewing together!
