I grew up in the East Bay and moved to Occidental in 2009 with my wife (a native of Occidental) and our first child. I joined Open Door Insurance in 2010 as a personal lines producer and am responsible for writing home, flood, auto and income property insurance. I’m a dedicated family man and love watching my son and young daughter discover the world around them. I look forward to helping you with your insurance needs and am happy to answer any questions you may have.

I grew up in Occidental and have worked at Open Door / Gene Gaffney Insurance for more than 25 years. At the end of 2010 I purchased the agency from my father, Gene Gaffney. Building upon the success he established and continuing the great service our customers have come to expect, I’m excited to move the agency into a new era as Open Door Insurance Services. I am also excited about the innovative risk management initiatives we are launching at Open Door and the introduction of several new and comprehensive product offerings. I am an active member in the community; a past School Board Member, current President of the Occidental Community Council, founding member of the Bohemian Corridor Business Association, member of 6 Chambers of Commerce, and member of the Fire Safe Camp Meeker, and Fire Safe Occidental organizations.
